On May 24, Troy High School seniors receiving awards and scholarships were recognized at the annual Class Night.

Troy High School Principal Joseph Mariano and Troy Middle School Principal Brian Dunn participated in a panel discussion at the most recent Troy 100 event, in a forum themed “Supporting our Schools – Empowering the Next Generation of Our Community.” The goal of the forum is the betterment of Troy. Among other topics, Mariano and Dunn spoke about the importance of internship opportunities, community partnerships, and simply listening to children in order to provide a quality education.
On May 16, residents will vote on the proposed 2017-2018 budget and a proposition to authorize the creation of a Capital Reserve Fund. The proposed $112,018,797 budget maintains all programs and staff and comes with a 0.45% tax levy increase. There is no future tax implication to establish the Capital Reserve Fund. Troy High School was nationally recognized as a Bronze Medal Winner by U.S. News & World Report in their latest rankings of the best high schools in America. Troy High received its high rankings for reading and math proficiency, including those rates for disadvantaged students. It was also included as one of the nation’s best high schools due to its current graduation rate that exceeds both state and national standards.
