Troy High School students in Grades 9 – 12 are invited to submit projects by Thursday, April 18 for the Greater Capital Region STEAM Exposition. Students can enter as teams or as individuals to compete for cash prizes. The event takes place on Saturday, May 18 at Colonie Central High School. Two Troy teams advance to state Odyssey of the Mind tournament

Two Troy teams advance to state Odyssey of the Mind tournament

On Saturday, March 9, eight teams from Troy City School District competed in the Region Four Odyssey of the Mind Tournament at Coxsackie-Athens High School. For the third year in a row, the team from School 18 took first place in their division and will be going to the state final tournament. The Troy High School team finished second place in their division and will also advance to the state tournament in Binghamton on March 23.

SUNY College Fair for Juniors – March 31

SUNY is holding a College Fair for Juniors on March 31 at 1 p.m. at SUNY Albany. The fair will include representatives from 43 SUNY campuses, as well as presentations that explore all of the opportunities at SUNY: challenging academics; innovative research; global study; and financial support, including the Excelsior Scholarship. Troy High celebrates Black History

Troy High celebrates Black History

On February 15, 2019, Troy High School hosted its annual Black History Day to celebrate the achievements of the black community throughout history and to reflect on the work that still needs to be done. The day included classroom visits from more than a dozen guest speakers and concluded with the inspirational student poetry slam. Students read both historical and original compositions to a room of their peers.
