Voters approve School 2 Community Schools Capital Project

On January 23, residents in the Troy City School District voted in favor of a capital project at School 2 that will renovate existing spaces to create a community schools wing. The fully-funded $1.2 million project will have no future tax impact on residents. Official vote tallies are as follows: 335 (Yes), 66 (No).

All Troy CSD students who get school breakfast and lunch each day of the month will be entered into a drawing to win an iPad. Monthly drawings at each Troy CSD school. Students must be present each day that school is in session. Nutritious meals keep kids healthy and focused. As always, breakfast and lunch is FREE for all students. 

Pikes deliver gifts to School 2

On December 15 RPI’s Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity (known as the “Pikes”) delivered toys to every student at School 2. The Pikes raised $7,000 to purchase 337 gifts and Santa made a visit to each classroom. A special thank you to the Pikes for giving back to their community!

State awards $7 million to Troy CSD for after school programming

The Troy City School District is pleased to announce that it is a recipient of the Empire State After School Grant. The grant allows for each District elementary school to host its own after school program, resulting in additional learning time for students throughout Troy. The program begins January 16, 2018. Applications are due by December 22, 2017.
