On Friday, March 16, there will be a full scale active shooter training exercise at Troy High School between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. This drill will include the response from local, county and state emergency service agencies. This is a professional development day for the entire district, therefore there is no school at any of our buildings. NO STUDENTS WILL BE PARTICIPATING.
Due to expected inclement weather, dismissal times for the scheduled Early Release Day on Wednesday, March 7 have been moved up by 1 hour. Additionally, the Empire State After School Program will be canceled on Wednesday, March 7 for all Troy CSD elementary schools. Click the link above for details.
Families of students with special needs are invited to join us at School 2 on Tuesday, March 20, at 5:30 p.m. for the parent training, “Resource and Information Exchange: Community Resources for Families with Special Needs.” Please click the link above for details.
As part of Black History Month, School 2 held a panel discussion with local community members about determination and hard work. Students in Grades 3-5 asked the panelists questions about their experiences and how they could make a difference. Students also performed traditional African dance and drumming at today’s BHM assembly.
