Troy students in Grades 3 – 6 are invited to attend RPI’s “Exploring Engineering Day” on Saturday, February 9. This FREE half day, hands-on program is intended to help students better understand what engineers and computer scientist do. Please register by December 17 by clicking the link above.
On October 18, School 2 hosted a grand opening celebration of their Community Schools Wing. The newly renovated space will serve as a hub for support services for both children and their families. It includes private areas for medical and dental screenings, family support, career resources and meeting spaces.
Troy CSD and the Parent Network of the Capital Region will offer several parent trainings over the course of the school year on a variety of topics relating to students with disabilities and other challenges. As it has done in the past, School 2 is offering home visits as an opportunity to get to know our students and their families. Teachers will be calling School 2 families to set up a time and location for the visit. All home visits are voluntary. The Troy City School District provides a FREE after school program for students in Grades K-5 through the Empire State After School Grant. Parents/Guardians must submit an application for each child they wish to enroll, even if they submitted an application last year. Applications are due by AUGUST 15, 2018.
