No changes to COVID-19 protocols or graduation at this time

On June 15, Governor Cuomo announced that many state-mandated COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted across commercial and social settings. Please note, this easing of restrictions does not yet include schools. Previously communicated plans for graduation, which include capacity restrictions and masks for unvaccinated individuals while unseated, must remain in place.

Masks no longer required for outdoor activities

Governor Cuomo indicated that the state is relaxing its mask mandate for schools when students are outside for recess or physical education. The Troy City School District will implement this outdoor activities protocol change, which will include athletic events. Masks will still be required indoors for all students and staff until further guidance is received.

No changes to COVID-19 protocols at this time

On Friday afternoon we became aware that the New York State Department of Health may be relaxing mask mandates for students and staff in schools effective Monday. Please be aware, however, that at this time, we have not received any official guidance from the NYS Department of Health. Once we receive this guidance, as always, we will review it and consider any potential changes to our current COVID-19 protocols. Any changes to our protocols will be communicated directly from the District.
