On May 16, residents will vote on the proposed 2017-2018 budget and a proposition to authorize the creation of a Capital Reserve Fund. The proposed $112,018,797 budget maintains all programs and staff and comes with a 0.45% tax levy increase. There is no future tax implication to establish the Capital Reserve Fund. On March 14, winter storm “Stella” forced the district to close for two days. New York State Education law requires districts to provide no less than 180 days of instruction. To ensure we meet this requirement, we are amending the 2016-2017 district calendar. Friday, May 26, 2017 and Friday, June 9, 2017 are now half days.

The School of Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) invites parents/guardians and their children in Grades 3 to 6 to attend Exploring Engineering Day (EED) on Saturday, February 18. This FREE half-day program introduces children to the field of engineering through fun, hands-on activities led by engineering students.
