Troy Community School held a graduation for 11 seniors on June 11, 2024.

Troy Community School celebrated the graduation of 11 seniors on Tuesday, June 11 in an outdoor ceremony at the school.
 
Teachers spoke about each graduate, and each senior had a chance to share a few words as they closed out their time in high school. Congratulations to all our graduating seniors—we know you will do great things!
 
We’d like to extend a special thank you to the C.R.A.B. Club Garrison for recognizing Marcus Mayben and Nayelis Tollen-Minke with $1,000 scholarships each. Marcus and Nayelis will both attend SUNY Adirondack and major in Criminal Justice. Nayelis hopes to have a career in forensic science, and Marcus plans to work toward becoming a State Trooper. Thank you to Community Outreach Chair Carole Weaver and Garrison Post Commander Joshua Hearne for attending the ceremony to present these scholarships.

Troy Community School held a graduation for 11 seniors on June 11, 2024.

The Troy Community School Class of 2024

Marcus Mayben will be attending SUNY Adirondack and received the C.R.A.B. Club Garrison Post Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Marcus also received The Multivocational Avard (Vocational Education). He will major in Criminal Justice and strives to become a State Trooper.

Nayelis Tollen—Minke will also attend SUNY Adirondack and is receiving the $1,000 C.R.A.B. Club Garrison Post Scholarship. She will study Criminal Justice and plans to have a career in Forensic Science.

Charnea Gause will attend SUNY Morrisville and is receiving the Allison E. Bodnar Memorial Scholarship of the Community Foundation of the Capital Region in the amount of $478. She will major in individual studies and transition to Criminal Justice.

Austin Bingham will also be attending SUNY Adirondack and studying Computer Science.

Luis George will be attending online classes to become a Realtor.

Jenise Marshall attended Questar III for Automotive Technologies and is graduating with her ASE Certification, and she will be working as a Diesel Tech for CDTA.

Jason Cupp attended Questar III for Heavy Equipment Operations, graduated with a Certification as a Heavy Equipment Operator, and is working full-time at Country True Value.

Savannah Gardner plans on working in healthcare.

Devanire Watson plans on attending EOC to become a Certified Cosmetologist.

Luis Cruz has an apprenticeship at an HVAC Company to become HVAC Certified.

Quincy George received The Multivocational Avard (Vocational Education). He is currently employed through St. Peter’s Health Partners and is working at The Eddy Nursing Home. He also has an apprenticeship with a Barber and will become a Barber.
